Welcome to the RAOS website...

Rochdale Amateur Operatic Society (RAOS) has contributed to the musical and cultural life of the local area for over a century. They currently produce shows and concerts at The Gracie Fields Theatre in Rochdale. The Society is a registered charity and has raised over £50,000 for local causes throughout the years.

RAOS is made up of a dedicated team of muscial theatre lovers. Their large scale productions have received fantastic reviews, as well as many NODA nominations and awards. Their talented members include highly trained singers, dancers, and actors, many of whom have gone on to work professionally. Productions include spectacular scenery and costume, combined with a large professional orchestra and a professional/highly trained director, musical director and choreographer.

The Society's success over many years has been largely due to their active and enthusiastic membership and the generous support of their patrons, which has allowed them to continue making donations to charity.
