Rochdale musical Theatre Company (formerly Rochdale Amateur Operatic Society) has contributed to the musical and cultural life of the local area for over a century. The company changed names in 2015 from Rochdale Amateur Operatic Society as in more modern times, musical theatre more accurately describe our activities, and although no performers are paid, the productions are certainly not of an amateur nature. We currently produce shows and concerts at The Gracie Fields Theatre in Rochdale. The company is a registered charity and has raised over £50,000 for local causes throughout the years.
Welcome to the RMTC website (formerly RAOS)...
RMTC is made up of a dedicated team of muscial theatre lovers. Their large scale productions have received fantastic reviews, as well as many NODA nominations and awards. Their talented members include highly trained singers, dancers, and actors, many of whom have gone on to work professionally.
The company's success over many years has been largely due to their active and enthusiastic membership and the generous support of their patrons, which has allowed them to continue making donations to charity.
